After spending almost a month at this Norfolk house with his wife, the Princess of Wales, and their three children over the Easter break, the Prince of Wales returned to his royal duties this week.

Prince William gave a charming glimpse into the interests of his youngest son, Prince Louis, while visiting the food distribution charity Surplus to Supper in Surrey.

Upon meeting representatives of the nonprofit organization, which is based at Sunbury Cricket Club, the devoted father disclosed how much Prince Louis “loves” cricket. The endearing remark was made just a few days before Prince William and Catherine’s youngest child turns six on April 23.

Given that Waleses are already avid fans of football, rugby, and tennis, their love of sports should come as no surprise. The couple has recently taken their ten-year-old son George and eight-year-old daughter Charlotte to a number of important events, such as Wimbledon, the Commonwealth Games in 2022, and Euro 2020.

When Princess Catherine said she is “very proud” of her new rugby patronages, she was referring to her sons, Prince George and Prince Louis, who were then three years old, as “kamikaze” back in February 2022.

When Catherine attended an England Rugby training session at Twickenham Stadium, she talked about her kids’ passion for rugby and said, “They’re all enjoying it, Louis is kamikaze, we’re worrying about when he gets older, he’ll be in the middle of everything.”

William made his first formal appearance on Thursday since his wife Catherine’s cancer diagnosis was made public in March. He was quick to reassure a well-wisher that he would take care of her.

The Princess of Wales and the King, who is receiving treatment for cancer of his own, received two get-well cards from volunteer Rachel Candappa, who told the 41-year-old Prince William, “Thank you very much, that’s kind.” William also said, “I will,” in response to Rachel’s request that he “take care of” the Princess of Wales.

As the young family came to terms with Princess Catherine’s recent medical diagnosis, they spent the Easter break together. The 42-year-old Princess of Wales disclosed in an emotional video message in March that she is receiving treatment for cancer, which was found during post-operative testing following significant abdominal surgery.

Following the announcement, Prince William and Catherine, along with their three kids, did not attend the Easter Sunday service at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
