20 Times Kate Middleton Mastered the Art of Styling Knee-High Boots
If any celebrity out there has a shoe collection we’re jealous of, it’s gotta be Kate Middleton, especially when it comes to her boots. Whether she’s going casual, dressing up for a fancy royal function, or just trying to stay warm in the cold, the Duchess of Cambridge’s knee-high boots have never let her down. Some are super simple, some have tassels (one of her most worn pairs, FYI), and some have tall stiletto heels. But no matter what type of knee-high boot Kate’s wearing, she looks amazing, and somehow, they always make whatever her look happens to be at the time look so put together.
Of course, the Duchess of Cambridge is a royal style icon for a reason — she’s known for her impeccable wardrobe and accessories. But seeing the outfits she chooses to wear each day also happens to give us inspiration for our own wardrobe, especially when it comes to figuring out how to style our own boots for chilly weather.

What better occasion to wear casual knee-high boots than while visiting a farm? This photo of Kate from 2017 shows her perfectly dressed for the occasion — which was watching kids work with farm animals — in a warm jacket, jeans, and of course, her boots.

Kate showed off this skirt suit ensemble during a royal visit to Wales in 2017, and adding the boots to her look definitely pulled the whole thing together — especially since it was February and likely a pretty cold day in the UK! Red is definitely her color.

When she’s traveling, Kate frequently dresses in a way to acknowledge the trends and customs in the country she’s visiting, so of course she wore this tartan outfit during a 2013 visit to Scotland — hard to believe that was almost 10 years ago! Paired with the boots, Kate looks perfectly chic.

What did we say about Kate making sure she was dressed to honor the place she’s visiting? It’s no surprise that she was wearing this polka dot green dress while on tour in Ireland with William in March 2020, with boots that complemented the belt she’s wearing.
